A law firm in Dallas, TX, seeks a highly qualified Labor Associate Attorney to join their team. The successful candidate will primarily focus on traditional labor law, handling various responsibilities related to labor relations, National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) matters, and providing legal advice to employers. The position requires a Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school, a minimum of 3 years of Traditional Labor Law experience, and active Texas Bar admission.
Duties:
- Handle unfair labor practice charges at the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).
- Research and write on management labor relations issues.
- Represent management in NLRB elections.
- Provide legal advice to employers on union organizing, corporate campaigns, card checks, and neutrality agreements.
- Negotiate and/or provide legal advice on collective bargaining agreements.
- Manage grievance and arbitration proceedings.
- Obtain mass picketing injunctions when necessary.
- Offer legal advice regarding protected concerted activity and issues under the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA).
- Conduct management training on labor relations.
- Advise management in union work stoppage situations.
- Handle occasional advice and counsel for clients on California workplace laws and other assignments, as needed.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Minimum of 3 years of Traditional Labor Law experience involving labor relations.
- Active Texas Bar admission.
- Understanding of current agency (state and federal) enforcement techniques.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
- This may include regular business travel.
