A law firm in Westport, CT, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with superior analytical skills and proficiency in research and writing. The ideal candidate will possess courtroom and deposition experience, with admission to the Connecticut Bar.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis on various litigation matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Prepare for and participate in courtroom proceedings, including hearings and trials.
• Assist in the preparation of witnesses for depositions and trial testimony.
• Manage discovery processes, including document review and production.
• Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on case strategy and development.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal team members.

Requirements:

• Admission to the Connecticut Bar.
• Superior analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in legal research and writing.
• Previous courtroom and deposition experience (preferred).
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Team player with the ability to work independently when necessary.

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:
