The Tax Manager position in the Private Wealth practice at Deloitte is a great opportunity for a strategic thinker with extensive knowledge in multiple areas of taxation. This role involves delivering compliance and consulting services to individual clients, trusts, estates, family offices, investment vehicles, and closely-held business concerns. The position also requires providing solutions to complex tax issues and being well-versed in AGI & DNI. The role is available in 29 locations across the Central Region. Salary Information: - The wage range for this role is $84,980 to $169,650, taking into account factors such as skill sets, experience, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. - Eligibility for participation in a discretionary annual incentive program may also be available, depending on individual and organizational performance. Job Title: - Tax Manager, Private Wealth (Central Region Office Locations) Experience: - 5+ years of public accounting experience (at least 3 years in investment management) or equivalent in law firms or industry - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related field - Advanced degree such as MST, MAcc, JD, or LLM (preferred) - Prior Big 4 experience (preferred) Position Summary: - Lead and perform high-level reviews of tax research and work papers for individual, fiduciary, partnership, closely-held corporations, estate, and gift tax returns. - Prepare and lead client meetings on compliance and consulting projects related to tax planning opportunities and the tax implications of transactions. - Train, mentor, and supervise new and experienced Tax Consultants and Tax Seniors. - Take on lead client-contact roles, billing and profitability analysis, and involvement in marketplace eminence building and pursuits. The Team: - Deloitte Tax LLP's Private Wealth team focuses on the specialized needs of the ultra-affluent, including families with multigenerational wealth, entrepreneurs, family offices, and closely-held business owners. - Provides comprehensive, independent, and objective wealth transfer planning advice. - Helps clients make informed, strategic decisions relevant to their personal financial comfort, business and investment needs, family legacy, and charitable giving. Qualifications: - Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2 – 3 days per week. - One of the following accreditations obtained: Licensed CPA, Licensed attorney, Enrolled Agent, or Certifications such as CFA or CFP. - Ability to travel up to 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
