Overview:
PwC is a global leader in professional services, providing tax advice and solutions to help clients manage their tax obligations and navigate the constantly changing tax landscape. Our Financial Services Tax practice focuses on providing specialized tax services to clients in the banking and capital markets industries, both domestically and internationally. As a Senior Manager in this practice, you will have the opportunity to work with a team of problem solvers, advising clients on complex business issues and providing solutions from strategy to execution.

Responsibilities:
- Encourage open communication and seek input from all team members, including those who may be more reserved.
- Effectively handle ambiguous and unstructured problems and situations.
- Initiate honest and productive coaching conversations at all levels.
- Balance big-picture thinking with attention to detail.
- Anticipate the needs of stakeholders and discuss potential solutions proactively.
- Utilize your technical expertise in the banking industry.
- Foster a collaborative environment where people and technology work together to achieve more.
- Navigate the challenges of diverse and cross-border teams and projects.
- Lead open and transparent discussions with clients and stakeholders to build trust.
- Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- CPA or member of the Bar certification.
- Intimate knowledge of tax issues in the banking industry, whether domestic or international.
- Strong technical skills in FAS 109, FIN 48, tax provision preparation and review, and corporate and partnership tax compliance.
- Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships and contribute to business development.
- Experience supervising teams and providing constructive feedback.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with a CRM system.
- Experience as a tax technical business advisor, including developing new relationships and selling new services.
- Strong understanding of automation and digitization and a willingness to embrace these technologies in a professional services environment.
- Ability to work with large data sets, build models, and use data visualization tools to provide insights to clients.
- Experience with alternative fee arrangements and pricing strategy.
- Familiarity with the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance for candidates with arrest and conviction records.
