The candidate will be responsible for handling various patent projects, including drafting, prosecution, post-grant proceedings, opinions, and due diligence. Admission to practice before the USPTO is required. A minimum of a Masters degree, preferably a PhD, in Chemistry or related fields is desired.

 

Duties:

  • Draft patent applications and responses to office actions.
  • Prosecute patent applications before the USPTO.
  • Conduct post-grant proceedings, such as inter partes reviews.
  • Provide patentability, infringement, and validity opinions.
  • Conduct due diligence reviews for patent portfolios.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and clients on patent strategy.

 

Requirements:

  • Admission to practice before the USPTO.
  • 2-5 years of experience in patent prosecution.
  • Minimum of a Masters degree, preferably a PhD, in Chemistry or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of life sciences patent law.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
