The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of complex Chapter 11 case experience, including the representation of various stakeholders in bankruptcy cases. Duties:

  • Represent debtors, secured creditors, official committees, and unsecured creditors in complex bankruptcy cases.
  • Provide legal counsel and support to clients involved in bankruptcy proceedings.
  • Draft and file bankruptcy-related documents, including petitions, motions, and pleadings.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on bankruptcy laws and regulations.
  • Assist in negotiating and structuring complex workouts and restructurings.
  • Attend court hearings, meetings, and other legal proceedings related to bankruptcy cases.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on case strategy and client representation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders in a professional and effective manner.
  • Stay current on developments in bankruptcy law and industry trends.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Tennessee State Bar or eligibility for admission.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in complex Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases.
  • Strong understanding of bankruptcy laws, regulations, and procedures.
  • Experience in representing debtors, secured creditors, official committees, and unsecured creditors in bankruptcy cases.
  • Additional experience in handling complex workouts and restructurings, particularly in the automotive and mobility industry, is a valuable asset.
  • Excellent academic record.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
