Job Responsibilities:

- Conduct tax research and analysis on a variety of SALT matters and subjects
- Work with clients and internal team members on income and indirect tax nexus, apportionment, sales taxability, credits and incentives, SALT planning, and more
- Perform M&A SALT due diligence for pending transactions
- Handle SALT controversies involving audits and administrative appeals
- Collaborate with a highly interactive and dynamic team within the National SALT practice

Qualifications:

- BS in Accounting, LLM or master’s in taxation
- CPA and/or JD preferred
- 10+ years of tax experience, with at least 4 years exclusively in SALT
- Strong research and communication skills (written and oral)
- Comprehensive understanding of multi-state tax concepts
- Ability to build strong relationships and effectively communicate with clients and team members
- Highly organized and able to adapt to a fast-paced environment

Salary Information:

- For positions in New York and California, the salary range is $150,000 - $260,000.
- Actual compensation within this range will be based on individual skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws.
- Base salary is only a part of the overall compensation package offered by Citrin Cooperman.
