Job Overview: A law firm based in Fort Lauderdale, FL, is seeking a Senior-Level Health Care Associate Attorney with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in healthcare regulatory and transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience representing providers and professional entities in healthcare law, including business transactions, regulatory compliance, fraud and abuse issues, licensure and enrollment, and reimbursement matters within Medicare and Medicaid frameworks. Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills and a demonstrated commitment to teamwork and client service are essential.

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel and strategic advice to clients on various health care regulatory and transactional matters.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on complex healthcare issues, including Stark and anti-kickback laws, reimbursement structures, and compliance requirements.
• Assist clients in structuring and negotiating business transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and partnerships.
• Conducted regulatory due diligence reviews and advised clients on compliance risks and mitigation strategies.
• Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and regulatory filings.
• Represent clients in administrative proceedings, audits, and investigations before regulatory agencies.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Florida State Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience practicing health care law, focusing on regulatory and transactional matters.
• Strong understanding of federal and state health care laws and regulations, including Medicare and Medicaid statutes and regulations.
• Experience representing healthcare providers, hospitals, physician groups, and other entities in the healthcare industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong business acumen and entrepreneurial mindset.
