Director of Business Development, Legal, Compliance, and Risk
Under the direction of the Regional Business Development Director, the Director of Business Development is responsible for driving sales performance and identifying new business opportunities for BDO's services. This position requires a strong network of C-Suite and legal market contacts and the ability to create and execute business development plans.

Job Summary:
- Responsible for driving, monitoring, and improving sales performance for BDO's services
- Identifies and pursues new business opportunities in line with firm, regional, and office strategies
- Works closely with practice leaders to understand service capabilities and market perceptions
- Coordinates with BDO Alliance USA and BDO International member firms

Job Duties:
- Develops new revenue opportunities for BDO's services, primarily targeting attorneys and corporate counsel
- Utilizes strong network of C-Suite and legal market contacts to generate new business
- Creates and executes business development plans with Advisory Principals and Managing Directors
- Identifies necessary activities to drive opportunities and defines cross-selling and key account programs
- Facilitates monthly meetings with Regional BD Director and practice leaders to implement and report on business development plans
- Works with Principals to negotiate pricing and delivery of services with prospects
- Provides feedback to National Business Development Services on processes and tools
- Coordinates with BDO Alliance USA and BDO International member firms on initiatives

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field required
- 15+ years of business development/marketing experience in a professional services environment
- Prior experience in accounting, financial consulting, business advisory services, or banking preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with a proven track record of generating C-Suite level relationships
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools
- Advanced knowledge in sales processes, lead generation, event planning, pipeline management, and sales strategy
- Ability to develop relationships with C-Suite executives and referral sources
- Strong business acumen and understanding of BDO's business, marketplace, and value proposition
- Excellent project management and communication skills
- Ability to travel up to 50% annually to meet with business development/marketing personnel and attend meetings/events
