Sr. Lead Counsel - Full-time - GWS Segment - Legal - Chicago, Dallas, New York About the role: As a Sr. Lead Counsel at CBRE, you will be responsible for handling complex legal matters and projects related to global commercial real estate services. You will review, negotiate, and draft contracts and transactional documents, as well as assess legal and risk issues. This role requires a . from an ABA accredited university and 10 years of private practice and/or in-house experience. You must be a member of the applicable State Bar in good standing and have the ability to interact effectively with colleagues and negotiate contracts with experienced in-house and outside counsel. Key responsibilities: - Review, negotiate, and draft contracts and transactional documentation for global commercial real estate services. - Identify and assess legal and risk issues. - Provide legal counsel and guidance to executives, managers, and other employees within the Global Workplace Solutions business line. - Stay current on relevant laws and regulations. - Conduct legal training sessions and assist in the preparation of training materials. - Coordinate and assign tasks to co-workers and lead project teams. - Identify training needs, track performance, and motivate employees. - Solve advanced problems and make strategic recommendations. - Work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize effectively. - Supervise outside counsel as needed. - Make decisions in line with company policies and procedures. - Set deadlines for work units and/or projects.
