The ideal candidate will possess a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school, be a member of the New York Bar, and exhibit excellent problem-solving and organizational skills. The Associate Attorney will play a crucial role in the firm's foreclosure practice, reviewing legal motions, attending settlement conferences, and providing legal directives to clients. They will utilize their legal knowledge and experience to facilitate the foreclosure process on behalf of clients and collaborate with supervising attorneys and appearance counsel.

 

Duties:

  • Review foreclosure-related legal motions, including complaints, orders of reference, and judgments.
  • Attend hearings and mediation appearances on behalf of the firm's clients.
  • Prepare case analysis and advise clients on legal strategies.
  • Draft court pleadings, status letters, denial letters, and written requests.
  • Collaborate with supervising foreclosure attorneys, business units, and appearance counsel.
  • Provide legal directives for clients on behalf of the firm.
  • Directly manage escalated cases, including client systems management.
  • Coordinate bank representative and client appearances.
  • Willingness to travel on an as-needed basis.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • Member of the New York Bar with all necessary licensing and continuing legal education requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
