Experience:

- Experience in a government agency, technology company, or financial services company is preferred

Job Description:

- Provide strategic legal advice on a wide range of technologies
- Handle a high volume of complex legal work at the intersection of technology and finance
- Support innovative and cutting edge initiatives, including new products and services
- Advise on the acquisition of technology services, research and development, and external partnerships
- Ensure all technology transactions comply with applicable laws and regulations
- Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and business teams to implement regulatory changes
- Resolve disputes with technology vendors and suppliers
- Update and train internal clients on relevant legal developments in technology
- Structure collaborative alliances with academic institutions, governments, and industry partners
- Partner with stakeholders to guide regulatory and industry policy related to technology
- Provide strategic advice that balances business objectives and legal risk
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Active member in good standing of at least one state bar

Required Skills:
- Strong understanding and interest in technology
- Deep knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to technology in financial services
- Experience drafting, negotiating, and providing guidance on technology agreements
- Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple issues simultaneously
- Strong team player with a track record of success
- Ability to communicate complex legal concepts in a clear and practical manner
- Experience presenting to non-legal stakeholders
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to interpret relevant laws, rules, and regulations
- Ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Knowledge of legal structures and forms
- Experience with issue management and regulatory compliance
