Experience: 10+ years of consulting experience, 3+ years of data protection or privacy experience
Education: Bachelor's degree required, Master's, Juris Doctorate, or MBA preferred
Certifications: CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPM, CIPT, CDPSE or other privacy certifications preferred
Language(s): Multilingual capabilities preferred

Job Summary:

Join BDO's thriving Privacy & Data Protection (PDP) Practice as a Director, responsible for maintaining and developing client relationships, delivering quality work product, managing project teams, and ensuring projects are on-time and on-budget. This exciting position offers the opportunity to work with both domestic and international clients and professionals.

Job Duties:

Develop and deliver global data protection and privacy strategies to client C-suite/board
Build cross-culture functionality for clients to operationalize global privacy programs
Manage BDO USA team members and collaborate with BDO Member Firms and offshore team members
Comply with BDO's Quality Risk Management, Data Protection, and other Frameworks
Develop proposals, respond to RFP/RFI's, and manage Master Service Agreements and engagement letters
Mentor team members to ensure consistent quality work product and application of BDO standards
Manage multiple large, complex and potentially long-term engagements and clients
Develop and manage project budgets, review invoices, and ensure timely delivery
Act as a leader and maintain a professional, positive attitude towards clients and firm personnel

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required, Master's, Juris Doctorate, or MBA preferred
10+ years of consulting experience, 3+ years of data protection or privacy experience
Experience working with Fortune 500 clients preferred
5+ years of experience managing large, complex privacy projects required
One or more privacy certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPM, CIPT, CDPSE preferred
Multilingual capabilities preferred
