Job Duties:

  • Advise clients on strategies for labor and employment law compliance.
  • Perform legal research, draft motions, and pleadings in court and administrative agency proceedings.
  • Teach clients about new labor and employment laws impacting their business.
  • Defend and litigate a variety of employment-related claims and agency charges including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour violations, breach of contract, etc.
  • Prepare for trial, including taking and defending depositions, written discovery, and other case preparation.
  • Draft briefs, plans, position statements, and dispositive motions.
  • Counsel clients on the creation of sound employment policies, work rules, and related agreements.

Requirements:

  • License to practice law in Pennsylvania.
  • Degree from an accredited law school.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Solid writing and editing skills with a focus on developing thoughtful and persuasive messaging.
  • Ability to work in and adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and project management mindset.
  • Commitment to professionalism, cooperation, and teamwork.
  • A strong drive to provide proactive, client-focused legal service.
  • Experience in employment/labor and/or commercial litigation.
  • Exposure to employment/labor-related agency procedures.
  • Prior work advising clients on legal compliance.
