The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience handling bankruptcy litigation, commercial litigation (including mortgage foreclosure litigation), and other creditors' rights matters in and out of court. Strong academic background, excellent writing skills, and admission to practice in New York and New Jersey are required.

 

Duties:

  • Handle bankruptcy litigation matters, including representing creditors and debtors in bankruptcy proceedings.
  • Manage commercial litigation cases, including mortgage foreclosure litigation and other creditors' rights matters.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other court documents.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and mediation sessions.
  • Collaborate with clients, internal teams, and external parties to develop case strategies and achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Prepare and review legal documents, contracts, and agreements related to bankruptcy and commercial litigation matters.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates on case developments and advising on legal strategies.
  • Assist with settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes.
  • Stay updated on developments in bankruptcy and commercial litigation laws and regulations.

 

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience in bankruptcy and commercial litigation.
  • Admission to practice law in New Jersey.
  • Strong academic background.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to practice law in New Jersey.

 

Skills:

  • Knowledge of bankruptcy laws and procedures.
