Salary Information: The disclosed wage range estimate for this role is $119,490 to $238,680, depending on factors such as skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Job Title: Senior Tax Manager - Business Tax Services

Experience: 8+ years in federal tax compliance, tax planning, tax analysis, and tax research. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required. Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM preferred.

Locations: This job is available in 29 locations across the Central Region Office of Deloitte Tax LLP.

Position Summary

- Seeking a Senior Tax Manager to join the Business Tax Services practice at Deloitte, responsible for identifying effective tax solutions for new and existing clients in various industry sectors.
- The role involves building and maintaining strong client relationships, providing tax consulting and compliance services, and assisting with proposals and presentations.
- The Senior Tax Manager will also be responsible for managing engagement profitability, billings to clients, and career development for the engagement team.
- This position requires the ability to work within a hybrid work model, with co-location in person 2-3 days per week, and the potential for up to 25% travel.
- Join a dynamic team with professionals from diverse backgrounds, providing expertise to clients and integrating tax strategy into their business operations.

Responsibilities

- Identify effective tax solutions for new and existing clients in various industry sectors.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
- Leverage Deloitte's range of services and resources to meet client needs and cross-sell among various lines of service.
- Act as a trusted business advisor to clients on federal tax planning, accounting, tax compliance, business restructuring, and tax controversy.
- Manage engagement profitability, billings to clients, and engagement team resources.
- Assist with drafting and presenting proposals to new and existing clients.
- Provide leadership, counseling, and career guidance for the development and motivation of the engagement team.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
- 8+ years' experience in federal tax compliance, tax planning, tax analysis, and tax research.
- One of the following accreditations required: Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office, licensed attorney, or Enrolled Agent. Additional certifications such as CFA or CFP are preferred.
- Ability to work within a hybrid work model and travel up to 25%.
- Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM preferred.
- Previous Big 4 or large CPA firm experience preferred.
- Strong management experience and reputation as a subject matter expert within federal tax.
- Experience working in a virtual and/or global environment.
- Passion for leveraging technology and exploring new solutions.
- Experience with accounting for income taxes in accordance with ASC740.
- Excellent research, writing, presentation, and communication skills.
