Syracuse office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks associate attorney - family and matrimonial law with 3+ years of experience in civil litigation. The candidate will regularly meet with and report to the Regional Managing Attorney regarding caseload, workflow, and productivity. Will manage assigned cases, including the preparation for and attendance at court appearances, conferences, and client meetings. Draft and serve pleadings/other legal documents/case reports in a timely manner. Work closely with the billing department for accurate and appropriate billing of clients. Work in a team setting and contribute to the overall goals of a growing firm. Should have significant work experience in a law firm, corporate or government setting, handling a range of sensitive legal issues such as divorce, child abuse, child custody, and domestic violence. Strong working knowledge of the New York Family Court Act and Domestic Relations Law is needed. Experience litigating family and matrimonial actions in the New York court system is essential. Should have Membership in good standing in the New York State Bar. Other State Bar memberships are a plus.
