A law firm is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Family Law Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling complex family law matters, and ensuring the swift resolution of cases while maintaining a compassionate approach to client relations.

Job Overview:

The Family Law Attorney will draft well-drafted pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and orders. The candidate must skillfully argue on behalf of clients, solve and prevent legal problems, and work closely with paralegals and lead attorneys to facilitate a smooth family litigation process. The position involves serving, answering, and compelling discovery, litigating hearings and trials related to custody, support, and property issues, attending mediation, and negotiating with opposing counsel.

Duties:

  • Draft well-drafted pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and orders.
  • Skillfully argue on behalf of clients in family litigation matters.
  • Solve and prevent client legal problems.
  • Work closely with paralegals and lead attorneys for a swift family litigation process.
  • Serve, answer, and compel discovery.
  • Litigate hearings and trials involving custody, support, and property issues.
  • Attend mediation and negotiate with opposing counsel.
  • Handle complex family law matters, including divorce, child custody, property division, and enforcement.
  • Responsibilities include drafting and litigating motions, conducting discovery, and trying cases.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate degree.
  • 5+ years of Family Law experience preferred.
  • Specialist with a proven track record, preferably with at least 5 years of experience in family law, including trial experience.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Texas family law system.
  • Demonstrated history of success in family law.
