Job Overview:

The successful candidate will focus on regulatory analysis and policy advising related to the Medicaid program. They will play a pivotal role in addressing complex regulatory and policy questions to enhance access to affordable, high-quality health care services. This position offers the opportunity to engage with a multidisciplinary practice and contribute to expanding Medicaid coverage and reimbursement.

 

Duties:

  • Conduct regulatory analysis and provide policy advising on Medicaid program matters.
  • Address complex regulatory and policy questions pertaining to Medicaid, including coverage, reimbursement, managed care delivery systems, and section 1115 demonstration projects under the Social Security Act.
  • Engage with various facets of the multidisciplinary practice to support projects enhancing access to affordable, high-quality health care services.
  • Synthesize regulatory analysis for both legal and lay audiences.
  • Perform legal research, analysis, and develop creative solutions to meet client and team needs.

 

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of health care regulatory experience, preferably with a focus on coverage and reimbursement.
  • Experience with Medicaid regulatory and policy issues and/or complex questions of administrative law is preferred.
  • Bar membership in good standing in the jurisdiction.

 

Education & Certifications:

Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Skills:

  • Strong interest and enthusiasm for Medicaid program issues and expanding access to affordable, high-quality health care services.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for legal and lay audiences.
  • Attention to detail with exceptional legal research and analytical skills.
