The ideal candidate will have expertise in project finance, particularly in renewables and conventional power, with additional experience in project development and M&A considered advantageous.

 

Duties:

  • Provide legal support and counsel on project finance transactions within the energy sector.
  • Draft and negotiate various project finance documents, such as loan agreements, security agreements, and intercreditor agreements.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence for project finance deals, including reviewing financial documents and conducting legal research.
  • Assist clients in structuring and finalizing project finance transactions.
  • Offer guidance on regulatory and compliance matters related to energy industry project finance.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, lenders, and government entities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and changes in project finance law.
  • Offer assistance on other legal matters concerning project development and M&A as needed.

 

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of experience in the energy industry.
  • Strong background in project finance, specifically in renewables and conventional power.
  • Demonstrable experience with debt finance transactions.
  • Additional experience in project development and M&A is a plus.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Texas or eligibility for admission.

 

Skills:
