A law firm is seeking a qualified Corporate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a range of duties related to general corporate matters and will play a key role in representing clients in various legal transactions. The candidate should possess the necessary skills, education, and experience to excel in this dynamic role. Assist firm members in representing clients in general corporate matters, including drafting and negotiating purchase agreements, handling securities law compliance matters, negotiating investment transactions, and drafting core company governance documents. Communicate in a highly responsive manner, delivering high-quality work products. Effectively communicate at all levels of the firm and with firm clients. Demonstrate a strong desire to develop and grow strong client relationships at all levels of the client organization. Commit to enhancing knowledge of cutting-edge developments in the attorney’s practice area.

 

Duties:

  • Drafting and negotiating purchase agreements and related documents.
  • Handling and advising clients regarding securities law compliance matters.
  • Negotiating investment transactions on both company- and investor side.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a transactional attorney in a broad corporate practice of a large or mid-sized law firm, including running M&A deal processes.
  • . degree from an ABA-accredited institution.
  • Licensed Illinois, Michigan, California, or Texas attorney in good standing.

 

Skills:

  • 3-6 years of experience in buy-side and sell-side mergers, acquisitions, and dispositions.
