- The legal team at Lilly is currently seeking an experienced attorney to lead the artificial intelligence governance function and provide strategic legal counsel on global cybersecurity risks.

Responsibilities:

- Proactively provide strategic counsel to business partners on cybersecurity matters
- Collaborate with other team members to provide counsel on privacy and artificial intelligence
- Partner with Legal, Ethics and Compliance, Information Technology and Security, and Global Security to identify innovative cybersecurity solutions and compliance practices
- Monitor and advise on emerging risks, regulations, and best practices
- Provide legal counsel on cybersecurity incidents and internal investigations
- Ensure the organization maintains appropriate cybersecurity policies and controls
- Educate colleagues on potential legal implications of proposed cybersecurity platforms and programs
- Participate in teams responsible for cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and privacy strategies
- Represent Lilly in various industry, legal, and external groups related to cybersecurity
- Draft and review cybersecurity provisions in agreements

Qualifications:

- . degree from an accredited school
- Active license to practice law in the United States
- Minimum of 10 years as a practicing attorney, with at least 6 years in cybersecurity or a relevant field

Additional Skills/Preferences:

- In-house legal experience with a global pharmaceutical or biotechnology company
- Working knowledge of various cybersecurity regulations and frameworks
- Experience handling cybersecurity risks and breaches
- Ability to research and turn regulations and trends into actionable advice
- Collaboration skills with corporate business partners and a clear understanding of roles and responsibilities
- Basic knowledge of law enforcement and national security entities
- Good judgement and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Commitment to expanding knowledge and adapting to a changing environment
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced and evolving environment
- Ability to engage across global geographic markets and operating models
- Experience counseling on emerging regulations and best practices in artificial intelligence, privacy, and information security
