Tax Manager, Investment Management, Private Wealth (Central Region Office Locations) - $84,980 to $169,650

Position Summary:

- Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Manager with extensive knowledge in various areas of taxation for Deloitte's growing Private Wealth practice.
- Must have expertise in delivering compliance and consulting services to individual clients and their trusts, estates, family offices, investment vehicles, charitable pursuits, and closely-held business concerns.
- Excels in solving complex tax issues and has a strong understanding of AGI & DNI.
- This role will involve working with high net worth individuals and families, providing strategic tax planning advice and solutions.
- Recruiting for this role will end on June 1, 2024.

Responsibilities:

- Perform high-level reviews of tax research and work papers for individual, fiduciary, partnership, closely-held corporations, estate, and gift tax returns.
- Lead client meetings on compliance and consulting projects related to tax planning opportunities and the tax implications of transactions.
- Train, mentor, and supervise Tax Consultants and Tax Seniors.
- Take on lead client-contact roles, and handle billing and profitability analysis on engagements.
- Involved in marketplace eminence building and pursuits.

- The Private Wealth team at Deloitte Tax LLP focuses on the specialized needs of the ultra-affluent.
- Provides comprehensive, independent, and objective wealth transfer planning advice to high net worth individuals and families.
- Helps clients make strategic decisions related to their personal financial comfort, business and investment needs, family legacy, and charitable giving.

Qualifications:

- Must be able to work in a hybrid model, co-locating in person 2-3 days per week.
- 5+ years of public accounting experience, with at least 3 years in investment management, or equivalent in law firms or industry.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related field.
- Must have one of the following accreditations: Licensed CPA, licensed attorney, enrolled agent, Chartered Financial Advisor (CFA), or Certified Financial Planner (CFP).
- Ability to travel up to 25% based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Advanced degree such as MST, MAcc, JD, or LLM.
- Prior Big 4 experience.
- Knowledge of fund accounting and general ledger accounting.
- Experience reviewing partnership and/or trust documents.
- Experience managing projects including scheduling, budgeting, client correspondence, and billing.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Excellent research and writing skills.
