A law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team in Redwood City, CA.

Job Overview:

The Litigation Associate Attorney will handle various litigation tasks, including legal research, discovery, depositions, witness interviews, pleadings drafting, brief writing, motion preparation, and argument, as well as trial preparation. The ideal candidate should possess excellent legal writing and research skills, focusing on commercial litigation, trial, or white-collar investigations. Prior experience as a judicial law clerk is a plus.

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research to support litigation proceedings.
  • Handle discovery processes, including document review and production.
  • Take and defend depositions of witnesses.
  • Conduct thorough witness interviews.
  • Draft pleadings and legal documents.
  • Write persuasive and well-reasoned legal briefs.
  • Prepare and argue motions in court.
  • Assist in trial preparation.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience.
  • Prior experience as a judicial law clerk is advantageous.
  • Solid litigation experience, preferably with commercial litigation, trial, or white-collar and investigations exposure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong advocacy skills.
  • Outstanding legal research and analytical skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective team player with the flexibility to collaborate across practice areas.
  • Proven problem-solving capabilities.
  • California Bar membership is in good standing.

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
