A law firm in Orlando, FL, is seeking a Plaintiff Personal Injury Law Associate Attorney to join their team. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, negotiate with insurance companies and opposing counsel, manage a caseload of personal injury cases, and represent clients in court.

Duties:

  • Work closely with clients to assess the extent of their injuries
  • Negotiate with insurance companies and opposing counsel
  • Represent clients in court proceedings
  • Manage a caseload of personal injury cases, including auto accidents, slip and falls, premises liability claims, and wrongful death cases
  • Draft and respond to discovery requests
  • Prepare motions and motion responses
  • Conduct legal research
  • Collaborate with experts from various medical and other disciplines
  • Assist with report drafting and deposition preparation

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience pre-suit and litigating personal injury cases on the plaintiff side (a plus)
  • Experience drafting and responding to motions (a plus)
  • Licensed and in good standing with the Florida State Bar
  • Substantial knowledge of Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence
  • Strong writing and legal research skills
  • Bilingual Spanish/English skills are a plus

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the Florida State Bar
