Duties:

  • Leading the Houston office attorney team
  • Hiring, training, motivating, managing, and firing team members
  • Ensuring the attorney team meets billable hour targets
  • Conducting weekly check-in calls with firm management
  • Working directly on client matters as necessary
  • Availability for weekend and evening work based on firm, team, and client demands

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the Texas State Bar and eligibility to practice law in Texas
  • 8+ years of practice as an attorney, preferably in estate planning law, probate law, real estate law, and/or business law
  • Experience managing a team

 

Skills:

  • Excellent writing, research, and analytical skills
  • Strong negotiation and advocacy skills
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software
  • Effective communication skills to interact with clients, colleagues, and opposing parties
