Position Summary:

- Seeking a Tax Senior with experience in tax planning and returns for hedge fund clients
- Must have strong understanding of Subchapter K, financial products, and aggregate allocations
- Responsible for identifying complex tax issues and providing tax analyses
- Detail-level review of tax workpapers, allocations, and returns
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Identify and provide tax analyses for complex tax issues for hedge fund clients and their affiliates
- Review tax workpapers, allocations, and returns
- Perform research to advise on transactional and tax planning opportunities
- Coordinate and communicate with client contacts to gather information
- Train, mentor, and supervise new and experienced staff

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related field
- 3+ years' experience in tax planning or preparing/reviewing tax workpapers and returns
- Licensed CPA, attorney, enrolled agent, or certifications such as CFA or CFP
- Ability to travel up to 25% for work

Preferred Qualifications:

- Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, or LLM
- Previous experience with Big 4 firms
- Familiarity with fund accounting and general ledger accounting
