The Director, Privacy & Data Protection will play a critical role in BDO’s PDP Practice, providing global solutions for clients to address their data protection and privacy needs. This position offers the opportunity to work with both domestic and international clients and professionals, and to lead engagements as a subject matter expert and engagement leader. The Director will also have the opportunity to build relationships with other BDO professionals and cross-sell into different industries and services.

This is a full-time, day shift position, with a required travel of 25% of the time. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s, Juris Doctorate, or MBA preferred), at least 10 years of consulting experience, and at least 3 years of data protection or privacy experience. They must also hold one or more privacy certifications, such as CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPM, CIPT, CDPSE, and have experience with privacy enabled technology solutions like OneTrust or TrustArc.

The Director will be responsible for developing and delivering global data protection and privacy strategies, building cross-culture functionality for clients, managing project teams and budgets, and maintaining relationships with clients and other BDO professionals. They must also ensure that BDO projects are delivered on-time and on-budget, while complying with BDO’s Quality Risk Management, Data Protection, and other Frameworks.
