A law firm in Chicago is seeking a qualified and experienced Mid to Senior-level Managed Care Litigation Associate Attorney to join their dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate should possess excellent academic credentials exceptional writing, research, analytical, and verbal communication skills. The role requires relevant experience in managed care or health care, as well as a proven track record in handling multiple cases, managing regulatory or compliance matters, and serving as the point person on litigation and/or counseling.

 

Duties

  • Handle and manage complex commercial litigation and arbitration cases related to managed care and health care.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for litigation matters, coordinating with other associates and staff to ensure seamless case management.
  • Provide client counseling on legal issues related to managed care, offering strategic guidance and solutions.
  • Conducted legal research and analysis and drafted legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Manage regulatory and compliance matters, staying abreast of industry developments and changes.
  • Represent clients in negotiations, mediation, and court proceedings.

 

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in the State Bar.
  • 3+ years of law firm or relevant in-house experience in complex commercial litigation and arbitration.
  • Proven experience in managed care or health care litigation.
  • Strong case management skills with the ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Ability to act as the point person on litigation and/or counseling matters.
  • Significant experience in client counseling and interaction.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
