The Lead Contracts Analyst/Contract Negotiator is a senior level position within the Global Procurement Contracts Team at Oracle. This position is responsible for reviewing, drafting, and negotiating complex supplier agreements in the technology categories to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with Oracle's legal guidelines and procurement policy. The successful candidate will have extensive contracts knowledge and negotiation skills, with deep expertise in negotiating software, cloud computing, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and technology consulting agreements. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of complex contracting experience, with an emphasis on negotiating legal terms such as indemnification, intellectual property, limitation of liability, confidential information, data privacy, termination, and license grants. A legal education or background is highly desirable, with a JD preferred. The candidate must also possess excellent analytical and communication skills, be organized and detail-oriented, and have strong time and project management skills. They must be able to work independently, demonstrate sound judgment under high stress and time-critical deadlines, and have a customer service attitude. Additionally, the candidate must be able to work effectively in a team environment, build relationships, and influence individuals at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities:

- Review, draft, and negotiate complex supplier agreements in the technology categories to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with Oracle's legal guidelines and procurement policy with minimal managerial oversight.
- Collaborate with lines of business to understand unique contract requirements and meet business needs.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met.
- Validate all aspects of supplier agreements for accuracy and compliance with Oracle's business practices and internal approvals.
- Draft executive approval requests for key legal clauses.
- Prepare contract status reports and complete contract log processing.

Qualifications:

- Extensive contracts knowledge and negotiation skills, including contract construction.
- Deep expertise and experience negotiating software, cloud computing, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and technology consulting agreements.
- 5-8 years of complex contracting experience, with an emphasis on negotiating legal terms in technology contracts.
- Legal education or background highly desirable, JD preferred.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Organized, meticulous, concise, and precise method of operation.
- Strong time and project management skills.
- Excellent research and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate sound judgment under high stress and time-critical deadlines.
