As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with engineers, collaborate with in-house and outside attorneys, and protect the company's intellectual property rights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Senior Intellectual Property Counsel in identifying, evaluating, and protecting patentable and strategic inventions.
• Work closely with engineers to identify patentable technology and suggest courses of action to protect proprietary technology.
• Prepare and prosecute . and international patent applications.
• Conduct prior art and invalidity searches.
• Provide legal advice on patentability, validity, and infringement.
• Manage patent docket and timelines.
• Track intellectual property projects and report progress to leadership.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited Law School and Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Two (2) years of applicable intellectual property legal experience and one (1) year of previous experience as a Mechanical Engineer.
• Registered to practice before the United States Patent Office and a member of the Texas State Bar.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
• Highest integrity and excellent judgment.

Travel Requirements:

10% (3 days per month)
