Klein Tools, a leading manufacturer of innovative products, is seeking an Intellectual Property Patent Attorney to join our team in Mansfield, TX. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with engineers, collaborate with in-house and outside attorneys, and protect the company's intellectual property rights. Key Responsibilities: • Assist the Senior Intellectual Property Counsel in identifying, evaluating, and protecting patentable and strategic inventions. • Work closely with engineers to identify patentable technology and suggest courses of action to protect proprietary technology. • Prepare and prosecute . and international patent applications. • Conduct prior art and invalidity searches. • Provide legal advice on patentability, validity, and infringement. • Manage patent docket and timelines. • Track intellectual property projects and report progress to leadership. Qualifications: • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited Law School and Bachelor's degree in Engineering. • Two (2) years of applicable intellectual property legal experience and one (1) year of previous experience as a Mechanical Engineer. • Registered to practice before the United States Patent Office and a member of the Texas State Bar. • Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams. • Highest integrity and excellent judgment.
