Job Description: Human Resources Counsel - Employment Law - Provide legal advice and counsel on HR legal matters - Serve as a resource for policies, employee relations, compliance, and processes - Negotiate disputes and claims - Draft contracts and legal instruments for the bank - Stay updated on laws, regulations, and business operations to address complex legal matters Responsibilities: - Provide legal support to HR Governance management and associates to minimize risks and losses - Consult with internal and external counsel on legal matters - Support HR tasks and consult on specific transactions or sensitive matters - Develop and implement policies and procedures for the organization - Draft and maintain contracts and legal documentation - Monitor federal and state laws and court opinions related to HR legal matters - Translate complex legal concepts for associates Salary Information: - Base pay is relative to experience, generally ranging from $141,409 to $245,109 per year - Eligible for variable compensation, such as incentives, bonuses, or commissions - Competitive and comprehensive benefits program available, details can be found on the company's website Qualifications: - Juris Doctor (JD) degree required - Minimum of 6 years of experience in General Practice, in-house, or specific to employment law - Preferred experience in handling legal matters related to employment law - Must be licensed to practice law in at least one state where the bank is located Note: This position is open to be located anywhere within the First Citizens Bank footprint and requires quarterly travel to the corporate office in Raleigh, NC.
