The Office of the New York State Attorney General (OAG) is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Deputy Attorney General (DAG) for the Division of Regional Affairs. This is a senior management opportunity for attorneys with at least ten years of litigation experience. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a team of over 200 attorneys and support staff in the OAG's thirteen Regional Offices located throughout New York State.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the Chief Deputy Attorney General (CDAG) for Regional Affairs with the management and oversight of the Division's defensive and affirmative dockets.
- Work with Regional Office Assistant Attorneys General-in-Charge (AAGICs) to provide legal and strategic support.
- Collaborate with State Counsel DAGs and managers to promote consistent litigation practice, processes, and policies.
- Review and approve state and federal court settlement recommendations.
- Help develop and coordinate statewide community outreach and education.
- Oversee and expand the Division's professional development programming.

Qualifications:
- A minimum of ten years of litigation experience, including trial and/or complex civil litigation.
- Prior experience leading teams of attorneys is preferred.
- Excellent organizational, advocacy, legal writing, and communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
- Availability for regular travel within New York State.

Salary:
The annual salary for this position is $195,098 + $3,087 in location pay (if applicable).
