# Staff Attorney at Legal Aid of Western Missouri

Legal Aid of Western Missouri is looking for a full-time Staff Attorney to provide legal counsel and court-room advocacy on behalf of the vulnerable community in a six-county area in Southwestern Missouri. The Joplin office is staffed by five experienced attorneys and three paralegals. Preference is given to applicants with experience or a demonstrated commitment to service in the area of public interest or poverty law.

## Qualifications

The qualified candidate must have the following:

- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Desire and commitment to assist in the delivery of high-quality legal assistance
- Ability to speak a second language, preferred, but not required
- Courtroom experience, preferred

## Salary

The salary for this position is $60,000 + DOE.
