Meta is seeking a passionate and experienced attorney to join our product counseling legal team as a Lead Counsel for our youth-focused services and technologies. In this role, you will provide strategic legal advice and risk mitigation strategies for our product and engineering teams, while also collaborating with various cross-functional teams to drive decision making and ensure compliance with global legal frameworks.

Responsibilities of Lead Counsel, Product (Youth):

- Provide legal support for youth well-being products and engineering teams
- Offer guidance on data protection, privacy, content regulation, competition, consumer protection, and data security
- Coordinate with policy, public affairs, product management, and other teams on external communications and policy development
- Lead consensus building and coordination with other members of the Legal team
- Maintain expertise in youth laws and regulations

Qualifications:

- . degree and membership in at least one . state bar
- 5+ years of experience as a practicing attorney, including in-house experience
- Knowledge of product or regulatory counseling, consumer protection, and/or privacy
- Experience working independently, cross-functionally, and in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with international legal requirements, especially related to youth privacy and data protection

Salary Information:

- Base salary range: $167,000/year to $233,000/year
- Additional compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits
- Individual pay determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location
