A law firm is seeking a Senior Private Equity M&A Associate Attorney for their New York City office.

 

Job Overview:

The Senior Private Equity M&A Associate Attorney will be responsible for managing components of transactions independently and working effectively in teams. They should have specific experience in a broad range of corporate and transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, leveraged recapitalizations, growth equity and venture capital transactions, exits, and equity compensation. The ideal candidate will be proactive, possess a strong business sense, have stellar communication skills, and be able to effectively manage internal and external client and counsel relationships. New York Bar admission (or eligibility to obtain admission promptly) and a deal sheet are required. Outstanding academic credentials, comparable law firm experience, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are also expected.

 

Duties:

  • Manage components of transactions independently
  • Work effectively in teams on various corporate and transactional matters
  • Handle mergers and acquisitions, leveraged recapitalizations, growth equity and venture capital transactions, exits, and equity compensation matters
  • Provide proactive legal advice
  • Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
  • Manage internal and external client and counsel relationships

 

Requirements:

  • 6-7 years of experience in private equity and M&A transactions
  • New York Bar admission (or eligibility to obtain admission promptly)
  • Deal sheet required
  • Outstanding academic credentials
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong business sense
  • Stellar communication skills

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school

 

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar in New York

 

Skills:
