A law firm in Chicago is seeking a Workers' Compensation Trial Attorney with 3-5 years of experience litigating Workers’ Compensation cases. The ideal candidate will manage a full caseload of Workers' Compensation cases, handling matters from beginning to end, including opening new files, creating litigation plans, conducting depositions, trying cases, and maintaining exceptional client contact.

 

Duties:

  • Independently manage own caseload involving Workers' Compensation matters
  • Represent clients in a wide range of litigation claims
  • Regularly handle court appearances, conduct depositions, and try cases
  • Secure TTD benefits, PPD benefits, and medical treatment for plaintiffs
  • Negotiate with Insurance Adjusters and Opposing Counsel to obtain maximum case values for clients
  • Maintain regular and comprehensive communication with clients

 

Requirements:

  • Experience with Workers' Compensation matters
  • Superior written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent people skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Spanish-speaking ability is a plus
  • Dual licenses in Wisconsin, Missouri, and/or Indiana are a plus

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

 

Certifications:

Admitted to practice in the State of Illinois

 

Experience:

3-5 years of experience litigating Workers’ Compensation cases
