A law firm in Boston is seeking an experienced Corporate M&A Associate Attorney with a strong background in mergers and acquisitions. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in M&A, with additional expertise in venture capital and general corporate transactions. The role requires excellent academic credentials, exceptional communication and drafting skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Industry experience in energy, renewable energy, and private equity transactions is highly desirable. Admission to the Massachusetts Bar is a requirement for this position.

 

Duties:

  • Draft primary deal documents, including merger agreements, stock purchase agreements, and joint venture agreements
  • Lead complex due diligence processes
  • Manage deal execution, including overseeing junior associates and internal specialist teams
  • Interact directly with clients, providing high-quality work product and maintaining client relationships
  • Assist in business development efforts and client presentations
  • Stay updated on relevant legal developments and industry trends

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the Massachusetts Bar
  • 5+ years of experience in corporate M&A, preferably within a reputable law firm
  • Strong academic credentials
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Flexibility to work extended hours as needed in a demanding, fast-paced environment

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in venture capital transactions, both investor and company-side
  • Familiarity with energy and renewable energy transactions
  • Knowledge of private equity deals and structures
