ILAS is seeking a Statewide Advocacy Attorney to join their team in Boise, Idaho. This is a critical position in fulfilling ILAS's mission of providing high-quality advocacy, education, and representation to low-income and vulnerable Idahoans.

Responsibilities:
- Develop case plans, tactics, and strategies for complex civil cases and appeals in federal and state courts
- Identify impact cases through community outreach and collaboration with ILAS staff attorneys and community partners
- Conduct all phases of complex litigation in federal and state courts
- Draft pleadings and briefs, handle motion practice, and engage in oral advocacy
- Work with low-income individuals and communities
- Promote diversity and inclusion in all aspects of work
- Potentially qualify for the LSC loan repayment program and federal loan forgiveness programs
- Potentially participate in a telecommuting program after three months
- Relocation assistance may be available

Qualifications:
- Must be a member of the Idaho State Bar or able to obtain admission
- Commitment to protecting the rights of low-income clients
- Significant experience in complex litigation in federal and state courts
- Strong skills in drafting pleadings and briefs, motion practice, and oral advocacy
- Experience working with low-income individuals and communities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Commitment to diversity and inclusion
- At least five years of relevant legal experience preferred
- Experience with public interest organizations preferred

Compensation:
- Commensurate with experience
