A law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 4-7 years of experience to handle a diverse range of cases, including general liability defense litigation, construction accidents, commercial disputes, personal injury claims, condominium issues, and business litigation. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing cases from inception to conclusion, representing both plaintiffs and defendants.

Duties

• Manage legal matters from start to finish, including conducting legal research, drafting complaints, pleadings, and motions.
• Handle discovery demands, participate in conferences, argue motions, and take and defend depositions.
• Demonstrate proficiency in general liability defense litigation, construction accidents, commercial litigation, personal injury, condominium issues, and business litigation.
• Represent clients with a focus on achieving favorable outcomes and providing excellent client service.
• Utilize strong analytical, writing, and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and collaborate with clients, opposing counsel, and internal teams.
• Work independently, demonstrating self-motivation, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
• Meet deadlines and manage caseload efficiently.

Requirements

• 4-7 years of relevant experience in litigation, with a focus on general liability defense, construction accidents, commercial disputes, personal injury, condominium issues, and business litigation.
• Admission to the New York Bar is a mandatory requirement.
• Proficient in legal research, drafting legal documents, and handling all aspects of litigation.
• Ability to speak Spanish is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York Bar.
