Role Summary:

- Senior Counsel position within the Corporate and Commercial Department
- Responsible for handling all real estate and construction activities for Rivian and its subsidiaries
- In charge of drafting and negotiating various legal documents related to real property and improvement projects

Responsibilities:

- Foster collaboration and teamwork within the Real Estate and Facilities team
- Provide strategic support for the company's real estate portfolio
- Work with Procurement team on architecture, engineering, and construction strategy
- Review and advise on legal documentation related to real estate agreements
- Support resolution of conflicts arising from real estate, design, engineering, or construction agreements
- Identify and minimize risks related to design, engineering, and construction contracts
- Manage outside counsel and work on special projects as assigned

Qualifications:

- . degree from an ABA-approved law school
- Active member of a State Bar Association
- Six years of experience in commercial real estate and construction
- Corporate and law firm experience preferred, automotive or manufacturing experience a plus
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to recognize and weigh business and legal risks
- Negotiation and dispute resolution skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Pay Disclosure:

- Salary range for Palo Alto, CA applicants: $186,000 - $232,000 annually
- Salary range for Irvine, CA applicants: $171,000 - $213,000 annually
- Actual compensation determined based on experience, location, and other factors
