PwC is currently seeking a Manager for our Income Franchise practice within our State and Local Tax services. This position will provide the opportunity to help clients solve business issues related to business restructuring, new tax laws, and communicating local tax developments. The manager will also assess client's state and local tax burden and recommend solutions that align with their overall business objectives, as well as stay ahead of and manage tax burdens and identify opportunities resulting from legislative and policy changes.

Responsibilities:
- Develop new skills outside of comfort zone
- Act to resolve issues preventing team from working effectively
- Coach others and encourage personal development
- Analyze complex ideas and build meaningful recommendations
- Use multiple sources of information to develop solutions
- Address sub-standard work and use data to inform decisions
- Develop a point of view on key global trends
- Manage different viewpoints to build consensus
- Simplify complex messages
- Uphold firm's code of ethics and business conduct

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 4 years of experience
- CPA or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials preferred
- Master's degree in Taxation or Political Science preferred
- Thorough knowledge of state and local tax laws
- Technical skills including FAS 109, unitary filing, apportionment methodologies, tax base rules, tax research, compliance, and consulting
- Ability to identify and address client needs
- Experience building and maintaining client relationships
- Familiarity with CRM systems
- Knowledge of automation and digitization in a professional services environment
- Familiarity with alternative fee arrangements
- Strong analytical and communication skills
