The candidate will serve as a business advisor to clients, guiding them in a full range of legal matters throughout their life cycle. The role involves managing direct client interaction, gaining business development experience, and holding significant responsibility for complex, sophisticated legal matters. The ideal candidate should be experienced in employment counseling and litigation in a private practice setting. They must have experience counseling clients on employment-related decision-making, employment agreements, and developing and maintaining employment policies, practices, procedures, and training programs that comply with multi-jurisdictional legal requirements. Additionally, the candidate should have experience handling federal and state labor and employment litigation and private arbitrations. The role includes handling certain aspects of litigation with minimal supervision, such as interviewing witnesses, reviewing and managing electronically stored documents, drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs, handling the discovery process, interacting with clients and opposing counsel, and attending court. The candidate must have a law degree from an accredited law school, be licensed to practice in Illinois immediately and be proficient in cloud computing and remote work technologies.
