A law firm in Indianapolis, IN is seeking an experienced Family Law Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 3-10 years of experience in handling a variety of family law cases and possess exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

 

Job Duties:

  • Effectively manage a fast-moving and high-volume caseload
  • Serve established clients by hitting the ground running
  • Conduct legal research and draft various legal documents such as correspondences, briefs, motions, pleadings, contracts, affidavits, and settlement proposals
  • Represent clients in court hearings and other legal proceedings
  • Assist clients in determining proper solutions to legal conflicts and advise on the best course of action
  • Collaborate with supervising attorneys, paralegals, and staff to address client needs and expand the client base
  • Advocate for clients with a proven record of success
  • Handle the division of marital assets
  • Work closely with paralegals and supervising attorney to ensure efficient case management and swift action through the litigation process
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date client files

 

Requirements:

  • Active license in good standing to practice law in Indiana
  • 3-10 years of experience in handling family law cases
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the Indiana State Bar
  • Additional certifications in family law (optional)

 

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research and drafting legal documents
  • Strong advocacy skills
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide strategic advice
  • Knowledge of Indiana family law statutes and procedures
