Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a highly motivated criminal defense associate attorney to join their team in Las Vegas, Nevada. The successful candidate will primarily work on the firm's high-volume Ticket, DUI, and Criminal Defense practice.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in criminal defense matters, including traffic violations, DUI cases, and other criminal offenses.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on case law, statutes, and regulations.
  • Draft legal documents such as motions, briefs, pleadings, and other court filings.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Attend court hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients regarding their rights and legal options.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff on case strategy and execution.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Criminal Law, with a focus on defense, preferred.
  • Active membership in the Nevada Bar Association is required.
  • Excellent writing and research skills with attention to detail.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to practice law with empathy and professionalism.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in Nevada (Nevada Bar license).

Skills:

  • Proficient in legal research methods and resources.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
