A law firm in Florham Park is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of experience. The ideal candidate must have excellent academic credentials, strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills. Experience in a mid to large law firm is preferred, along with extensive experience drafting pleadings, conducting research, managing traditional and electronic discovery, and appearing before state and federal courts. Experience in trade secret and non-compete counseling and employment law is a plus. The candidate must be in good standing with the New Jersey Bar, and federal or state appellate clerkships are advantageous.

 

Duties:

  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues.
  • Manage traditional and electronic discovery, including drafting discovery requests and responses.
  • Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and courts.
  • Assist with case strategy development and implementation.
  • Review and analyze documents, evidence, and deposition transcripts.
  • Conduct legal analysis and provide recommendations to clients.
  • Handle administrative tasks related to client matters, including file management and organization.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and legal trends.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • 2-5 years of litigation experience.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Experience in a mid to large law firm preferred.
  • Good standing with the New Jersey Bar.
  • Federal or state appellate clerkships are advantageous.
  • Experience in trade secret and non-compete counseling and employment law is a plus.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Must be in good standing with the New Jersey Bar.
