A law firm in San Francisco is seeking a Labor and Employment Associate Attorney with 1-2 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate must have a Juris Doctorate (JD) degree, be licensed to practice law in the State of California, possess strong research and writing skills, and have experience in drafting and responding to initial pleadings and discovery. Additionally, experience in employment counseling on federal and state employment laws and regulations, as well as working on litigation matters under the direction of partners, is required.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis on labor and employment law issues.
• Draft and respond to initial pleadings and discovery requests.
• Provide employment counseling on federal and state employment laws and regulations.
• Assist partners in managing litigation matters, including drafting motions, briefs, and other court documents.
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to develop case strategies and provide legal advice.
• Attend hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings as needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of California.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in labor and employment law.
• Strong research, writing skills, and academic record.
• Experience in drafting and responding to initial pleadings and discovery.
• Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
