Job Title: Tax Senior - Financial Services Industries - Hedge Fund Tax (Central Region Locations)
Experience: 3+ years
Salary Range: $63,420 - $126,620
Location: 29 locations available

Position Summary:
- Seeking a leader with a passion for financial products and tax planning in the hedge fund industry
- Responsible for identifying complex tax issues and providing tax analyses for a variety of hedge fund clients
- Must have a solid understanding of Subchapter K, financial products, and related tax adjustments
- Will also handle trader vs. investor determination and federal, international, and state investor reporting
- Perform detail-level review of tax workpapers, allocations, and tax returns
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle a high volume of work
- Will build relationships with clients and train, mentor, and supervise staff
- Must be able to travel up to 25% for work

Department: Hedge Fund Tax Practice

The Team:
- Deloitte Tax LLP has over 1,400 partners, principals, and employees providing tax services to investment management companies
- Clients include hedge funds, private equity, alternative products, family offices, mutual funds, and more
- Offers a range of services to address issues in the industry

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- Licensed CPA or in the process of obtaining CPA, or licensed attorney/enrolled agent with relevant certifications
- 3+ years of experience in tax planning or preparing and reviewing tax workpapers and returns
- Ability to work in a hybrid model, co-locating in person 2-3 days per week
- Must be able to travel up to 25% for work

Preferred:
- Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, or LLM
- Previous experience with Big 4 accounting firms
- Familiarity with Subchapter K, financial products, and wash sale and constructive sale rules
- Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge of fund accounting and general ledger accounting
