Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Cyber Insurance Coverage Associate Attorney with 3-7 years of experience in cyber insurance coverage and monitoring. The ideal candidate should possess a strong litigation background and be proficient in analyzing coverage issues, drafting coverage opinions, pleadings, and dispositive motions, and conducting discovery in insurance coverage litigation and other commercial litigation settings.

Duties:

  • Analyze cyber insurance policies and other relevant contracts.
  • Draft coverage opinions, pleadings, and dispositive motions.
  • Conduct discovery in insurance coverage litigation and other commercial litigation matters.
  • Mediate, arbitrate, or potentially go to trial as necessary.
  • Draft settlement agreements and handle appeals.
  • Attend depositions and court conferences.

Requirements:

  • 3-7 years of law firm insurance coverage and litigation experience.
  • Superior research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Experience analyzing cyber insurance policies.
  • Ability to handle all phases of the litigation process independently.
  • Mediation, arbitration, and/or trial experience are beneficial.
  • Licensed to practice law in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, or Delaware (preferred).
  • Excellent academic background.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar (or eligible to be admitted).
  • Additional certifications related to insurance coverage or cyber law are advantageous.

Skills:

  • Proficient in legal research and writing.
  • Strong analytical skills for coverage issue analysis.
  • Effective communication skills for interactions with clients, colleagues, and courts.
