Job Overview:

The Construction Defect Associate Attorney will be responsible for handling a variety of legal tasks related to construction defect defense, including drafting reports, discovery documents, motions, and representing clients in court proceedings.

Duties:

  • Draft initial reports, interim reports, pre-trial reports, trials, and appellate activity
  • Draft discovery documents and respond to discovery requests
  • Draft and respond to discovery-related motions
  • Regularly attend court appearances
  • Take and defend depositions of fact witnesses and expert witnesses
  • Draft motions for summary judgment

Requirements:

  • Florida licensed attorney
  • 1+ years of litigation experience, preferably in Construction Defect defense
  • Admitted to practice in the State of Florida

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
